Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants, and has been the winner of many awards at both national and internationally. She has offered consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
